Hi, I’m Victoria Yore, a lifelong vegetarian and “sometimes” vegan. My mom Linda has been vegan for over 30 years and raised my sister and I vegan for many years.
When I was about 12 years old, I approached her and said I wanted to eat cheese and ice cream with my friends and that I didn’t want to be vegan anymore. She let us make our own choices which is why I call myself a “sometimes” vegan.
Since my mother and I live together and she is vegan, many of our meals for my entire life have been 100% vegan. When I am at home, I eat a lot of vegan food, some of which can be modified to be vegetarian, depending on the recipe [such as adding a topping of cheese to an otherwise vegan recipe].
That is why this site will feature both vegan and vegetarian recipes! Some can even be modified one way or the other!
I started this website because I don’t like cooking, but I love eating good food. As a result, I have to cook, but I don’t like it taking a long time and I had labor intensive recipes. I try and keep the vegan and vegetarian recipes on this site simple and easy to make.
As a plant-based diet is on the rise, I wanted to give you fantastic options that you won’t believe are vegan and vegetarian! I do hope you love them and they bring joy and laughter into your own home and to your own family table!
